Motivation After “Failure”

Tiffy G Writes

Let me start by saying this. You ONLY fail when you give up.

“Failure” isn’t a permanent state of being. A loss is only temporary and is only truly a loss when you don’t learn from it.

Take this time to find what works for you. Whether it’s school, your business or other life goals.

This is the perfect time to re-examine everything about your preparation rituals.

Maybe you need to study differently. Maybe you need to go back to the drawing board and come up with a better marketing plan.

Perhaps you need a new route or means of reaching your goals. Don’t give up now!

Figure out:

1. Why you started

2. Your end goal

3. A reward when goals are met

4. That thing that will motivate you at your lowest

These 4 factors will determine your success. You have to know WHY you want to accomplish…

Are You Present in the Moment?

Mindfulnes

Tiffy G Writes

How to be Present in the MOMENT

We’ve all experienced those times where we are kind of on auto mode. Whether it is at work, driving or in the comfort of your own home. You drive somewhere and don’t remember the actual drive, or you go through your daily tasks not really paying attention to the world around you.

Being present in the moment is practicing mindfulness.

We need to practice being in the moment because you never know when will be your last moment.

You may be wrapped up in the future, your daily tasks for tomorrow at work, or what you’ll say to someone, or even deciding how you’ll get an important project done. Face it, we are all busy in different ways.

Our kids, friends or significant others value our time with them. In our society technology and social media distract us from being present when we’re…

When Enough is Enough

Tiffy G Writes

Have you ever been in a circumstance with a close friend or loved one who didn’t always treat you with respect?

Perhaps they weren’t always truthful or even betrayed you in the past. Maybe the bad mouth you when you’re not around, or put you down when you are around.

BUT, they’re your friend right? Your family, your significant other? Someone who isn’t supposed to do things like that to hurt you.
You want to escape that sulky feeling right? You’re in their presence and you don’t know what exactly may spew out of their mouth this time or when the next verbal disagreement will be.

Sometimes they may make you feel down or even have you rethinking your worth and abilities.

When do you draw the line and say Enough is Enough? They’re your parent but they aren’t always parent like. Betrayal hurts, it hurts like hell because it…

Married at 22?!

Tiffy G Writes

This may sound crazy since we live in a generation where young marriage is looked down upon.

A few decades ago this wouldn’t have been so surprising. My grandpa proposed to my grandma when she was 18.

They were married 53 years before he died.

Living during these times and being married is sort of rewarding. It’s great to know that we are doing something that has been lost in recent generations.

Do people even look forward to marriage anymore?

I’ll be honest. I was the little girl who dreamed of getting married. The one who couldn’t wait to be a mother and wife.

This generation has lost that sense of romanticism. Like in the movies.. the kind of love you read about.

Our world is very selfish. Me, me, me with no regard for anyone else.

When you’re married you can’t be like that. Instead you look at how…

10 Things in My Baby’s Closet

Tiffy G Writes

Every new mom knows there are absolute essentials to keep in the baby’s closet or nursery room.

Here’s a list of my top necessities for my unborn son. How do I know what to buy? Experience! I have a 6-year-old and 4 years old so this whole baby thing is pretty regular for me.

Feel free to comment what you put in your baby’s closet or nursery. Do you have any suggestions? Keep in mind these entries aren’t in any specific order. I need each of these items for the newborn stage to go as smooth as possible.

1. Infant Carrier

IMG_6395

Honestly, this is one of my favorite baby items ever. I bought one for my second child and not my first. I will never neglect to get on of these with a baby. They come in handy everywhere you go.

Consider taking a walk with baby, going to the…

School isn’t for Everyone and That’s Okay

Tiffy G Writes

IMG_1166School is not for everyone. I don’t say this because I think that some people aren’t “smart” enough. I believe anyone can do anything they wish to put their mind to. With that being said school isn’t for everybody because everybody doesn’t want to have a college degree. Everybody doesn’t want to be a lawyer, doctor, psychologist, or any of those careers that you need to degree for.

If you’re content with how much money you make and how you make it then you should live that way if it pleases you. Don’t go to school because your parents or society say you should. Only do it because YOU want it! School takes consistency, determination and perseverance.

If you attempt school when you don’t really want to do it, you won’t be successful in it and you will have wasted all that time and money!! I’m totally and completely for…

Benefits of Being a Work At Home Mom

Tiffy G Writes

This day in age people look down on work at home moms. As if taking care of your family and being with your kids is something to be ashamed of. Well, it’s the best decision I’ve ever made and I would NEVER go back to working for corporate America or any other entity.

  1. Entrepreneurship

Working from home gives moms, and women, in general, the opportunity to find their passion and purpose. There’s nothing better than owning your own business and being in control of your schedule.

Being a work at home mom doesn’t mean you sit at home all day and do nothing. Get the kids on a schedule and work around it. If they’re school aged it works out even better!

Being a business owner takes dedication, time and motivation. Even when you do it from the comfort of your own home. Stay motivated to accomplish whatever you want.

Examples…

More rare and precious than the finest jewel

You existence is crucial to this universe, your creator believed so
